EMSC State Partnership Grantee Family Representatives

EMSC State Partnership grantees are required to have a family representative on their EMSC Advisory Committee. As of December 2006, 73% of the EMSC State Partnership grantees had a family representative. Five EMSC grantees had more than one representative. These individuals support EMSC grantees by: serving on a variety of committees and advisory councils; providing a consumer’s perspective in the development of EMS policies, procedures, rules, and regulation; and participating in public education campaigns and other community outreach activities.

Family Resources

The EMSC National Resource Center (NRC) has produced a variety of resources for families and children on topics ranging from preventing and responding to childhood emergencies to caring for kids in a managed care environment, from selecting a health care plan to developing emergency care plans for children with special health care needs. To view the full-list of available resources, access the Publications and Resources section.

The NRC also has created several resources designed to assist parents, caregivers, and EMSC parent representatives in their efforts to support the EMSC Program at the national and state levels. These resources are listed below.
